en.Wedoany.com Reported - France's latest commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop solar tender has awarded 300.23 MW of installed capacity. This 12th tender, targeting rooftop photovoltaic systems, greenhouses, agricultural sheds, and carport systems with capacities exceeding 500 kWp, received nearly 1,200 applications totaling 1.6 GW, with subscriptions exceeding five times the tendered capacity.

The subscription rate for this tender contrasts with last year. In March 2025, the ninth auction awarded only 220 MW of rooftop solar, falling short of the 400 MW target; the subsequent auction awarded even less, at just 191 MW. The average winning price in the latest commercial and industrial (C&I) tender dropped from €96.48/MWh to €82.98/MWh (equivalent to $109.96 to $94.57), a decrease of nearly €14. This price marks the lowest average in the history of this tender, with the previous first tender averaging €83.12/MWh.

This latest rooftop commercial tender is the first since the French government released its energy roadmap for the coming years. Published in February 2026, the roadmap—the Multi-Year Energy Plan (PPE3) covering 2026 to 2035—lowers France's 2030 solar photovoltaic target from 60 GW to 48 GW. During this period, the annual auction capacity for solar photovoltaics is set at 2.9 GW. The full list of projects from the 12th rooftop commercial tender is available in the French-language document.
