en.Wedoany.com Reported - Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has commissioned the 100.8 MW Jewali wind power project in the Dharashiv district of Maharashtra. The electricity generated from this project will be supplied to Tata Power Mumbai Distribution to support its Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) targets.

The Jewali wind power project has installed 28 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines and is expected to generate approximately 299 million units (kWh) of clean electricity annually. Additionally, the project is projected to offset nearly 245 million kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions each year.
With the commissioning of this project, TPREL's wind power portfolio has exceeded 3.9 GW, with an operational capacity of over 1.3 GW. The remaining projects are under development in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Currently, TPREL's total installed renewable energy utility capacity has reached 11.6 GW. Of this, 6.7 GW is operational, including 5.4 GW of solar and 1.3 GW of wind capacity; another 4.9 GW is at various stages of implementation. The under-construction project portfolio includes approximately 2.1 GW of solar projects, 2.6 GW of wind projects, and 0.2 GW of battery energy storage systems (BESS), expected to be commissioned within the next 6 to 24 months.
