en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aggreko has completed the installation of an 82-kilowatt solar array at its Los Angeles service center, transitioning the site to a fully renewable, off-grid energy supply model.

This marks a significant achievement in the company's sustainability initiatives to increase the use of renewable energy at its facilities. The Los Angeles service center has become Aggreko's first service center to meet all its annual energy needs with on-site renewable energy. The distributed energy solution is expected to save the center $12,630 in annual utility costs.
Todd Aston, Vice President of Sustainability for Aggreko North America, stated that the solar installation at the service center is the company's most exciting project to date, as it is the first time a service center has achieved 100% of its annual energy needs from renewable sources. Through on-site solar systems at the Los Angeles center and several other service centers, the company can meet customer energy demands while reducing carbon emissions and operating costs.
In recent years, Aggreko's sustainability initiatives have introduced distributed clean energy to multiple service centers. Earlier this year, the company announced the completion of on-site solar installations at its facilities in St. Louis, Missouri, and Bridgeport, New Jersey. Last year, the company installed solar panels at its New Orleans location. Additionally, the company has converted four sites, including its U.S. headquarters, to use biofuels for internal fuel needs.
