The two parties aim to create a more coherent and agile technology environment to accelerate the development and launch of applications and services. At the core of this collaboration is the construction of a comprehensive AI ecosystem that underpins the organization's operational and commercial functions, while enabling Zain teams to more effectively leverage data and advanced technologies.
Zain stated that the upgraded infrastructure will expand its ability to scale AI efficiently and securely, thereby enhancing operational performance, strengthening governance and reliability, and boosting its readiness for the digital economy. This move will help improve customer experience, accelerate innovation cycles, and increase operational efficiency.
Maha Al Qernas, Zain's Executive Vice President and Head of IT, as well as the recently established AI Center of Excellence (CoE) lead, noted that the initiative is part of Zain KSA's broader AI strategy, which focuses on embedding intelligent technologies across the organization and building the capabilities needed to enhance performance, support decision-making, and develop new digital services to meet evolving customer expectations and future demands. In a statement, Maha Al Qernas said that the launch of the AI Center of Excellence marks a milestone in the systematic adoption of AI across the enterprise, with the current phase focusing on strengthening the foundation needed to scale applications and translating them into tangible operational value that supports business and accelerates innovation.
