en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 summer railway travel season runs from July 1 to August 31, lasting 62 days. The Zhangzhou Train Operation Depot is expected to send 6.28 million passengers, with an average of 101,300 passengers per day, an increase of 1.89% compared to the same period last year. Due to the generally delayed start of summer vacations for universities and colleges, passenger flow in the Zhangzhou and Quanzhou areas shows distinct phased characteristics, with an overall trend of "low in the early period and high in the later period." Among this, July is expected to send 2.71 million passengers, with an average of 87,000 passengers per day; August is expected to send 3.57 million passengers, with the average daily passenger flow rising to 115,200 passengers, and the concentrated return of passengers will drive peak passenger flow.

The national railway third-quarter train schedule officially came into effect on July 1. After the schedule adjustment, a total of 45 additional passenger trains have been added at various stations under the Zhangzhou Train Operation Depot, balancing daily commuting and long-distance travel needs to enhance travel efficiency for passengers during the summer season.

Zhangzhou Station has added 6 trains, including G3019/8 and D2363/6, connecting to cities such as Meizhou and Guangzhou, further smoothing the flow of people between southern Fujian and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The operating section of the G5108 train, originating from Zhao'an Station, has been extended from Xiamen North Station to Fuzhou South Station, linking multiple districts and counties such as Yunxiao and Zhangpu, opening a direct travel channel to the provincial capital, Fuzhou. Zhangpu Station has added 6 passenger trains, including D681, in the southbound direction, significantly increasing transport capacity to eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta region.

Quanzhou Station has added multiple high-speed trains and EMU trains, including G3017 to Yiwu and D2363 to Meizhou, covering popular travel directions such as northern Jiangxi, central Zhejiang, and eastern Guangdong, with significantly increased service frequency during peak hours. Quanzhou South Station has added the G3756 high-speed train to Shanghai, further smoothing the travel corridor from southern Fujian to the Yangtze River Delta. Jinjiang Station has added 2 EMU trains to Xiamen, covering midday and evening peak travel periods, meeting the needs of intra-provincial commuting and short-distance tourism.

To ensure smooth travel for passengers during the summer season, Quanzhou Station has launched the "Light Travel" and "Pet Travel" special services to lighten the load and add warmth to passengers' journeys. At the same time, various stations under the Zhangzhou Train Operation Depot have been equipped with convenient facilities and supplies such as charging stations, drinking water, and emergency medicines. Additional guidance personnel have been deployed at elevators and exits, and green channels for urgent passengers, as well as the elderly, children, sick, disabled, and pregnant women, have been opened. Services such as wheelchair pick-up and drop-off for key passengers are provided. Relying on the "Strait Love" service desk, party member commando teams and youth volunteers have been organized to offer passengers services such as inquiries and luggage assistance.

Summer is a peak season for cultural tourism travel. Quanzhou Station, Quanzhou South Station, Quanzhou East Station, and Quangang Station are all included in the scope of the "Fujian Quest: Encounter with Maritime Silk Road, Tea Charm, and Danxia" railway travel pass. One ticket connects characteristic southern Fujian attractions such as West Street, Qingyuan Mountain, and Wudian City Traditional Block, helping long-distance "in-depth tours" become a "new trend" in cultural tourism. At the same time, the railway department has coordinated with local public transport departments to increase the frequency of shuttle bus services directly to scenic spots, bridging the "last mile" for passengers.
The Xingquan Railway operates the popular "AD钙" Fuxing EMU train, passing through cultural tourism counties and districts such as Anxi, Yongchun, Dehua, and Nan'an. Stations along the route promote characteristic cultural tourism brands such as Tea Fragrance Anxi, Scent Charm Yongchun, and Porcelain Charm Dehua, promoting the deep integration and development of local cultural tourism. In addition, passengers holding train tickets arriving at stations such as Zhangzhou, Jiaomei, and Zhangpu within 5 days can enjoy a 20% discount on tickets, resort passes, and supporting room rates at scenic spots such as Changtai Ten Mile Blue Mountain, unlocking the landscapes, flowers, and sea views of Zhangzhou in one stop.
