en.Wedoany.com Reported - Poland's Ministry of Digitization (Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji) is developing the "National Broadband Network Development and Resilience Plan" (Narodowy Plan Rozwoju i Odporności Sieci Szerokopasmowych), aiming to achieve full fixed broadband internet access for all households nationwide by 2030.

Law and Justice party MP Lidia Czechak submitted an inquiry to the Ministry of Digitization, raising concerns about residents in certain areas of the Żerków municipality in Jarocin County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, who are unable to access fiber optic internet. The MP also inquired about planned actions for towns still affected by digital exclusion, whether additional funding has been initiated to help these towns achieve full fiber optic network coverage, and whether the Ministry of Digitization plans to establish mechanisms to compel operators to complete investments in areas where support programs have already been approved.

Deputy Minister of Digitization Michał Gramatyka, in his response, cited data from the report "Poland in the Range of Fixed Internet Access" (Polska w zasięgu stacjonarnego dostępu do internetu). As of the end of the first quarter of 2026, the Żerków municipality had a total of 2,676 address points, of which 1,115 were classified as "white spots"—address points without access to internet with a speed of at least 100 Mb/s. Declared commercial investment plans are expected to cover 162 "white spot" address points within the municipality over the next three years, providing them with fixed broadband services. According to information from the Fixed Broadband Internet Access Information Service System (portal internet.gov.pl), all address points in the villages of Sucha and Sierszew are currently "white spots," while some address points in the village of Dobieszczyzna, such as Dobieszczyzna 55, are already within the coverage area of fiber optic services.

Michał Gramatyka stated that the Ministry of Digitization is actively working to connect all households in Poland to high-speed internet and is continuing to develop further intervention measures. As part of the preparatory work, the ministry is thoroughly developing the "National Broadband Network Development and Resilience Plan," which will serve as a key strategic document for expanding high-speed internet access in Poland. One of its three main objectives is to ensure full fixed broadband internet access for all households by 2030. The Ministry of Digitization also plans to secure EU funding for such investments within the next financial framework (2028-2034).
