en.Wedoany.com Reported - Portuguese startup Aenvo has entered the Brazilian market, focusing on prosody-aware voice bots and employing voice biometrics for user identity verification. The company specializes in conversational AI customer service solutions.

Fabiano Cruz, CEO of Aenvo, told Mobile Time that voice bots must not only use correctly spelled Portuguese but also speak as people do in daily conversation. Portuguese has different ways of speaking, with notable accent differences between the Azores, Madeira, and Lisbon. Aenvo aims to create AI agents that truly speak "Brazilian," which involves not just slang but the very manner of speaking itself.

In Europe, Aenvo develops multilingual voice bot solutions, specializing in handling the prosody of various languages to provide customer service for businesses and governments serving diverse audiences. For populations with lower education levels and literacy challenges, as well as elderly individuals who struggle with screens, voice is a more accessible interface. Additionally, Cruz noted that Europe faces immigration issues, where workers from different countries often need to access public services in their native languages. The executive stated that Aenvo's differentiator lies in offering "humanized conversational AI." Douglas Costa, Co-CEO of Aenvo Americas, said the company can perform asynchronous identity verification through channels like WhatsApp, requiring only five seconds of audio for voice biometrics. Costa explained that asynchronous voice authentication is possible by ensuring the recorded audio has specific timeliness or contextual relevance. The company builds solutions that coordinate different AI models and authentication technologies based on each interaction flow, usage channel, and customer needs.

In Brazil, Aenvo plans to secure up to six medium-sized clients this year, targeting government and financial institutions serving elderly populations or those with lower education levels. Additionally, the company is entering the Paraguayan market through local partnerships. This market has less competition and a larger technological gap, offering room for automated customer service growth. Aenvo is negotiating with a university in Paraguay to develop a vocabulary dictionary for Guaraní (the country's co-official language alongside Spanish) and plans to do the same for Jopará, a mix of Guaraní and Spanish.
