en.Wedoany.com Reported - Relive has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ecoasimelec management system under Recyclia, providing a specialized technical solution for photovoltaic module recycling. This process is zero-emission and water-free, capable of recovering over 99% of materials from each panel, including glass, aluminum, silicon, and other components that can be reintegrated into new industrial value chains.

This alliance aims to address the rapid growth of the photovoltaic industry and the development of infrastructure capable of efficiently managing waste from the energy transition. The partners noted that the circular economy is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of the entire renewable energy value chain. Through this agreement, manufacturers and importers participating in the collective system managed by Recyclia will gain access to a photovoltaic waste management solution aligned with circular economy principles and European goals for sustainability, recycling, and efficient resource use.
Relive is part of the circular economy strategy of Greening and Tradebe, aiming to become a benchmark platform for photovoltaic recycling in Europe. The technology can recover glass, aluminum, silicon, and other valuable materials, reintegrating them into new production chains and helping reduce dependence on raw materials. Pablo Otín, Executive President of Greening, stated that the agreement with Ecoasimelec is a strategic step for Relive, reinforcing the company's commitment to developing innovative photovoltaic waste management solutions and contributing to a fully circular model alongside solar growth.
Founded in 2011, Greening describes itself as a globally diversified renewable energy company, vertically integrated, generating, building, and selling its own green energy through photovoltaic and storage portfolios. It operates across Europe (Spain, Italy, Germany) and North America (United States, Mexico) and has been listed on BME Growth since 2023. Tradebe is a corporate group with over 40 years of experience, centered on four areas: environmental services (recovery and reuse of waste and by-products); life sciences (circular economy through purification and manufacturing of essential components); health and nutrition (nutrient transformation); and port services (liquid bulk storage).
Recyclia is an entity managing Extended Producer Responsibility Collective Systems (SCRAP), specializing in waste from electrical and electronic equipment, including photovoltaic panels, batteries, accumulators, and commercial and industrial packaging, promoting their proper collection and recycling across Spain. The Ecoasimelec Foundation was established in 2005, on the eve of the entry into force of Royal Decree 208/2005 on the environmental management of waste from electrical and electronic equipment, to respond to new obligations set for producers by regulations. In 2014, the foundation integrated Tragamóvil (a pioneering mobile phone collection and recycling program), merging both into a common project. Under Recyclia's management, Ecoasimelec aims to provide solutions and services to all parties involved in placing electrical and electronic equipment on the market, ensuring proper collection and recycling at the end of their life.
