en.Wedoany.com Reported - German sensor manufacturer Baumer and vibration isolation technology company Bilz Vibration Technology AG have jointly developed an active vibration isolation system based on non-contact inductive distance sensors. This system can precisely measure equipment vibration and positional deviation, achieving active vibration isolation through real-time control. It is suitable for precision machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing, inspection technology, and automation fields. Bilz's PR Manager Holger Thissen introduced this technology in a guest article.

Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Switzerland, Baumer is a leading international manufacturer of sensors, encoders, measuring instruments, and automation image processing components. Its high-precision inductive sensors offer a resolution of up to 4 nanometers, enabling accurate distance measurement under non-contact, wear-free conditions. Bilz Vibration Technology AG, headquartered in Leonberg, Germany, was founded in 1985 by Dieter Bilz and is a market leader in air spring technology. The company has a team of 60 people, providing vibration isolation and reduction solutions for the machinery, automotive, and semiconductor industries.

In traditional vibration isolation solutions, vibration measurement often relies on contact-based or high-cost measurement methods. Baumer's inductive sensors can measure distance, angle, and even the slightest vibrations, unaffected by harsh conditions such as dirt, moisture, or vibration. Bilz integrates this sensor technology with its own Active Isolation System (AIS™), actively suppressing resonance amplification through real-time control, achieving precise vibration isolation across up to six degrees of freedom. Bilz's product range extends from simple vibration isolation pads to complete equipment foundation isolation. This solution can be integrated into active or passive vibration isolation platforms.

In precision manufacturing, environmental vibration is a key factor affecting machining accuracy and equipment lifespan. The collaboration between Baumer and Bilz demonstrates a deep integration of sensor and vibration isolation technologies, providing an intelligent vibration control solution for high-end manufacturing.
