en.Wedoany.com Reported - JSW Energy's subsidiary, JSW Energy PSP Eleven (JEPEL), has secured an order worth INR 4.4374 billion from Bondada Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering, to provide battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions. Under the agreement, JEPEL will deliver a 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system along with power conversion system (PCS) solutions.

These battery systems are supported by JEPEL's battery assembly plant in Pune, which has an annual manufacturing capacity of 5 GWh. The facility is part of JSW Energy's strategy to expand domestic manufacturing capabilities for utility-scale energy storage projects. JSW Energy has been expanding its footprint in renewable energy generation and energy storage, with a locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW, including 14.53 GW of operational assets, approximately 13 GW under construction, and 4.6 GW in the development pipeline. In energy storage, the company has a locked-in capacity of 29.6 GWh, comprising 26.4 GWh of pumped storage and 3.2 GWh of battery energy storage systems. As part of the JSW Group, JSW Energy operates in the power sector covering generation and transmission, and supports the development of India's clean energy landscape through investments in renewable energy, pumped storage, and battery energy storage systems.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, JSW Energy's consolidated net profit increased by 38.36% year-on-year to INR 5.7353 billion, compared to INR 4.1451 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Operating revenue grew by 41.04% year-on-year to INR 44.9858 billion, reflecting improved operational performance and continued capacity expansion.
