en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vietnam - Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Minh Lam, has requested investors and relevant departments, sectors, and localities to closely coordinate in accelerating the legal procedures and preparations for the Long An - Tan Ninh connection axis project, focusing on site clearance and resettlement area construction, aiming to launch the project within 2026. Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam noted that this project, as a priority key transport project, holds significant importance for enhancing regional connectivity after the adjustment and merger of administrative units, and all units must proactively cooperate to promptly resolve bottlenecks. The five localities designated as investors for resettlement areas need to quickly select sites, complete planning, land, and related legal procedures to ensure site clearance work.

According to the Tay Ninh Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, the total investment for the Long An - Tan Ninh connection axis project exceeds 20.7 trillion VND, with funding sources including central budget subsidies, local budget funds, and other legally raised funds, implemented from 2026 to 2031. The main route is approximately 74.3 km long, starting at the Tan An Ring Road in Tan An Ward and ending at National Highway 22 in Ben Cau Commune; there is also a branch line connecting to National Highway 1, about 2.38 km long, overlapping with the planned DT.830E Road, extending from the main route in Binh Duc Commune to National Highway 1. The entire project is divided into 10 independent sub-projects, of which five resettlement area sub-projects are invested by the People's Committees of Long An Ward and Thu Thua, Duc Hue, Dong Thanh, and My Quy Communes, while the remaining sub-projects are managed by the Tay Ninh Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, including site clearance for the main route and connecting lines, construction of the Tan An Ring Road to Nguyen Dinh Chieu section, Hung Vuong Bridge, the Hung Vuong Bridge to Ring Road 4 section and the branch line connecting to National Highway 1, and the Ring Road 4 to National Highway 22 section.

Deputy Director of the Tay Ninh Provincial Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, Tran Thien Truc, stated that efforts are currently focused on completing key procedures, particularly determining the route centerline and site clearance red-line boundaries for sub-project 6, to provide a basis for subsequent steps. The consulting unit has conducted topographical surveys and prepared design dossiers, expected to be completed by July 2026; after approval, site clearance stakeout and peg-setting will be carried out, handed over to localities for measurement, and compensation, support, and resettlement dossiers will be prepared. According to the plan, sub-project 6 will complete the feasibility study report by September 2026, conduct current status surveys and inspections from October 2026 to February 2027, and complete all compensation, support, and resettlement procedures within 2027, aiming to hand over the site by June 2027. Other construction sub-projects are advancing investment preparations, with plans to complete the selection of consulting units, preparation, and approval of feasibility study reports within 2026, complete construction drawings and budget estimates by May 2027, then select contractors, and commence construction from June 2027.

Tay Ninh Province has listed this project as one of the highest priority transport projects. As a major transport artery between the former Long An and Tay Ninh provinces, the project achieves connectivity from the provincial administrative center in Long An Ward to the western and border areas, while linking strategic transport axes such as National Highway 1, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, and National Highway 22. To create implementation resources, Tay Ninh Province has proposed that the government instruct the Ministry of Finance to allocate approximately 12.9 trillion VND from the central budget to support the investment. Upon completion, the project is expected to form an east-west transport corridor, strengthen regional connections, link the provincial administrative center with urban areas, industrial zones, border gates, and the regional transport network, thereby expanding development space, effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of each region, and injecting momentum into Tay Ninh Province's socio-economic growth in the new phase.
