YEO Technology to Build 105 MW Solar Project in Kosovo

en.Wedoany.com Reported - A Swiss investment consortium has won Kosovo's first renewable energy auction and will develop and operate a solar power plant with a grid-connected capacity of 105 MW. The consortium, composed of Switzerland-based Orllati Group and Holdinova Group, secured the bid with a price of €48.88 per MWh for a 30-year project term, including a 15-year contract for difference. The project is expected to become the largest renewable energy plant in Kosovo at this stage, with operations planned to commence in 2027. This outcome is regarded as a milestone for Kosovo's renewable energy market and will help enhance the country's solar installed capacity, energy security, and decarbonization goals.

The project will be implemented by the project company Lindja Solar LLC (affiliated with Orllati Group and Holdinova Group), reflecting strong investor interest in the country's clean energy development potential.

Istanbul-based listed energy solutions company YEO Technology will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning services for the solar power plant. The contract scope also covers a 110 kV high-voltage substation, overhead transmission lines, and complete grid connection infrastructure.
