en.Wedoany.com Reported - IDE Water Solutions North America, Inc. announced a partnership with the Horizon Regional Municipal Utility District (Horizon MUD) to build an advanced water treatment facility in Horizon City, outside El Paso, Texas, featuring a Pulse Flow Reverse Osmosis (PFRO) system. The project, implemented by IDE in collaboration with engineering partner TRE & Associates, is designed with a daily treatment capacity of 4.2 million gallons to address local water scarcity and provide high-quality drinking water for residents.

Unlike traditional reverse osmosis systems, IDE's patented PFRO technology operates in a dynamic mode. This single-stage technical solution enhances recovery rates while reducing the need for deep-well injection to dispose of brine, promoting a more sustainable water treatment process.

Rosemary Niechcial, CEO of IDE Water Solutions North America, expressed the company's delight in being selected by Horizon MUD, noting that the PFRO technology will help the city access clean, safe drinking water while reducing the volume of brine requiring disposal.

Horizon MUD's PFRO project is currently under construction, with a target completion date of April 2028. For six decades, IDE has been dedicated to addressing global water scarcity, focusing on the development, design, construction, and operation of large-scale municipal and industrial water treatment plants.
