Tender for 14,300 m³ Rainwater Storage Project at Dubai International Airport, UAE

The project involves rainwater collection, storage, pumping, and discharge facilities around Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. The tender number is TF-30-C1, and the bid submission deadline is October 29.

In the Terminal 1 area, 2 reinforced concrete rainwater storage tanks will be built, with capacities of 4,800 m³ and 6,000 m³ respectively, connected by 1,000 mm diameter glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes. The connecting pipes will use trenchless construction methods, and the related underground pipeline construction will adopt the NDRC construction method.

In the Terminal 3 area, 1 reinforced concrete storage tank with a capacity of 3,520 m³ will be built. This part of the works includes the main structure of the storage tank, earthwork excavation, waterproofing, and supporting facilities construction. The related facilities will be connected to the airport area's rainwater drainage system.

The mechanical and electrical works include the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of submersible drainage pumps, discharge pipes, programmable logic controller (PLC) control cabinets, and integrated instrument control systems. The contractor is also required to build supporting inspection chambers, pipeline crossing facilities, and connection works with the existing rainwater drainage network.

The project is organized and implemented by the Sewerage and Recycled Water Projects Department under Dubai Municipality.
