en.Wedoany.com Reported - KUKA Robotics is expanding its product portfolio for North American educational institutions, introducing new robot cells, simulation software, and hands-on training programs to support vocational schools, technical colleges, and universities in integrating industrial automation into the classroom and preparing students for the manufacturing workforce.

At the core of the KUKA education portfolio are user-friendly, modular robot learning units designed for classroom environments, including the iiQKA Education Cell. This ready-to-use AI training unit allows instructors to introduce automation concepts at their own pace, supporting a wide range of learning objectives and classroom setups. The portfolio also includes the KMP 250P Education Kit, through which students can learn about autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and modern intralogistics concepts, gaining hands-on experience in navigation, material transport, and collaboration between mobile and stationary robot systems. Additionally, the iiQWorks.Sim simulation software enables students and teachers to create digital twins, test applications, and validate processes before deploying them in physical environments, providing experience with digital engineering tools increasingly prevalent in the robotics industry.

Starting July 2026, the portfolio will add the iiQKA Education Cell lite, designed to demonstrate typical robot tasks such as path tracking, pick-and-place, and palletizing. Its compact design, integrated gripper, and KUKA smartPLUG handheld controller facilitate learning collaborative robot-specific functions in the classroom. These applications are based on real-world industrial processes, helping students master fundamentals such as coordinate systems, axis motion, point-to-point programming, and optional vision system integration.

To assist educators in teaching, the KUKA education portfolio includes comprehensive teacher training aimed at helping instructors confidently integrate automation into their curricula. Participants in the one-week program will learn how to operate the systems and effectively incorporate them into classroom instruction. Teachers will also receive classroom materials tailored to different skill levels for implementing automation training across various educational programs.

KUKA is offering a 50% discount on eligible products and teacher training programs for recognized educators and robotics instructors to lower the barrier to advanced automation technology. School administrators and educators can visit the KUKA education and training website for more information.

KUKA is an international automation group headquartered in Germany, Augsburg, with sales of approximately €3.7 billion and around 15,000 employees.
