en.Wedoany.com Reported - U.S. offshore vessel owner and operator Bordelon Marine announced in July 2026 that it has completed the conversion and redelivery of the "Lilly Bordelon." Originally a Stingray Series 260-class platform supply vessel (PSV), it has been successfully transformed into a DP-2 ultra-light intervention vessel (ULIV), designed to provide efficient and flexible solutions for offshore operations.

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Lockport, Louisiana, USA, Bordelon Marine is a leading provider of offshore transportation services in the Gulf of Mexico and globally. The company already owns several ULIVs, including sister vessels "Shelia Bordelon," "Brandon Bordelon," and "Connor Bordelon." The converted "Lilly Bordelon" (IMO 9315525), built in 2004, is equipped with a 60-ton active heave compensation (AHC) knuckle boom crane supplied by SMST.

The converted "Lilly Bordelon" offers superior performance, featuring over 5,500 square feet of deck space, a mezzanine deck supporting two work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and an integrated control room. The vessel is also equipped with a 60-ton active heave compensation (AHC) crane with over 3,000 meters of wire, and a 17-meter USCG/ABS-certified helideck. It is primarily used for underwater inspection, maintenance, repair, and light construction operations.

Wes Bordelon, President and CEO of Bordelon Marine, stated that this vessel enhances the company's ability to provide cost-effective underwater solutions for clients. This conversion not only expands Bordelon Marine's ULIV fleet but also further solidifies its leading position in the Jones Act-compliant offshore sector.
