en.Wedoany.com Reported - Swedish Alfa Laval has announced a partnership with Spanish multinational stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox to use the latter's low-emission stainless steel EcoACX in the production of its gasketed plate heat exchangers.
Alfa Laval's plate heat exchangers are key components in processes such as heating, cooling, evaporation, condensation, or heat recovery in industries including food, energy, data centers, and construction. This collaboration combines sustainable material innovation with advanced heat transfer technology, aiming to provide solutions that are efficient and have a significantly reduced carbon footprint, addressing the industrial challenge of greenhouse gas emission reduction.
As part of its commitment to climate solutions, Acerinox has launched EcoACX stainless steel. Made from 90% recycled materials, this product reduces the carbon footprint by 50% compared to standard stainless steel, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, durability, and technical performance.
Committed to reducing the environmental impact of its products, Alfa Laval, through this partnership, will use EcoACX material in the numerous channel plates of its gasketed plate heat exchangers to accelerate its climate commitments. This move not only helps customers optimize operational energy efficiency but also significantly reduces the carbon footprint in the upstream stages of the supply chain. Both companies stated that this collaboration demonstrates that the transition to clean industry is not a future plan, but a commercial reality achievable from now on through the choice of responsible materials.
