en.Wedoany.com Reported - Iceni Gold (ASX:ICL) has completed a diamond drill hole to a depth of 362 meters at its flagship 14 Mile Well gold project, located between Leonora and Laverton in Western Australia, intersecting a 25-meter-wide zone of fracturing and brecciation at the Goose Well target, confirming the presence of the Gander Fault.

Core logging reveals a multiphase intrusive complex with intense silica-carbonate alteration and abundant sulfides, indicating a significant hydrothermal system.

Managing Director Wade Johnson stated that the diamond core provides structural information unattainable through reverse circulation drilling alone, with early observations confirming a corridor named the Gander Fault, including approximately 25 meters of fault gouge and brecciated quartz syenite intrusions containing strongly sheared lamprophyre. The drill hole represents a strategic investment in understanding the system, reducing exploration risk and helping to effectively target new discoveries within the Goose Well intrusive complex.

Core processing and sampling are underway, with assay results expected to be released in August.

The 14 Mile Well gold project, covering approximately 645 square kilometers, is located in the Laverton Greenstone Belt, within 75 kilometers of multiple operating gold processing plants.

Iceni Gold is a gold exploration company focused on key projects in Western Australia.
