The Goodwood hill climb timed challenge is the centerpiece of the four-day festival, attracting over 100,000 spectators annually. This year's competition featured 30 sports cars, ranging from a 120-horsepower Mercedes to the newly launched all-electric Formula E Gen4, which finished second by a narrow margin. Dumas achieved a third consecutive victory driving the Ford prototype: 43.98 seconds in the SuperVan 4.2 in 2024, 43.22 seconds in the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck in 2025, and 41.98 seconds in the Super Mustang Mach-E in 2026. Simulators had previously deemed this time unattainable.

The Super Mustang Mach-E was developed by Ford Performance in collaboration with STARD, with support from Pirelli. The vehicle is equipped with three STARD UHP six-phase motors, delivering a total output of over 1,400 horsepower distributed across all four wheels, and features a 50 kWh battery capable of supporting up to 710 kW of regenerative braking. Jay Ward, Global Director of Motorsports Communications at Ford Performance, stated that the technical experience from this project is being directly applied to the development of Ford's future electric and hybrid models.
