en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 13, 2026, Ranger Energy Services (NYSE: RNGR) announced a contract with Hess, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron, to deploy three additional ECHO hybrid workover rigs in the lower 48 states of the U.S. Ranger CEO Stuart Bodden expressed pleasure in collaborating with Chevron to advance the modernization of the oil well service industry. These three workover rigs are expected to be delivered in 2027 and will be equipped with cold-weather kits suitable for Bakken operations.

Ranger launched the ECHO workover rig in 2025, described as the industry's first hybrid dual-electric workover rig, representing the company's ongoing transformation and electrification of its conventional workover rig fleet. In 2025, Ranger delivered the first two ECHO workover rigs, which have been contracted with major U.S. operators. With the addition of three more rigs, Ranger's active ECHO workover rig fleet is expected to reach 20 units by the end of 2027.
