en.Wedoany.com Reported - Alta Ley Group has launched the Mining Booster acceleration program, aimed at enhancing the export competitiveness of Chile's Mining Equipment, Technology, and Services (METS) suppliers and facilitating their entry into international markets. The program is supported by ProChile, the Chilean Export Promotion Bureau.

According to the "Mining Suppliers Export Report" published by Chile's Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations (Subrei), only 7.6% of mining suppliers achieved exports in 2023, reflecting shortcomings in the internationalization process. The Mining Booster program focuses on strengthening company capabilities, expanding market networks, and providing tool support to help more suppliers enter and establish themselves in the global mining market.
Elena Moreno, Executive President of Alta Ley Group, stated that promoting early global expansion for suppliers is a core objective. Multiple studies show that companies that internationalize early can accumulate knowledge, build networks, and achieve economies of scale more quickly, thereby enhancing productivity, innovation, and sustainability. The first edition of the program's pilot project will focus on the Brazilian mining market, encompassing a series of activities including export diagnostics, basic training, specialized guidance, business matchmaking, and access to market support networks.
Ántiza Vladilo, Head of Local Development and Suppliers at Alta Ley Group, indicated that these actions help companies grow into globally competitive mining suppliers, enabling them to export technological solutions and knowledge developed in Chile. ProChile will contribute its international market experience and networks to assist companies in securing business opportunities and conducting international promotion activities. Alta Ley Group leads the strategic design, integrates the mining ecosystem, and leverages its experience in supplier development, innovation, and industry connections to ensure participating companies possess the capabilities and networks required for international expansion. Throughout the process, collaboration with ProChile, Endeavor, and AndesMets will prepare beneficiaries and establish connections with the Brazilian mining market.
Brazil is considered one of the most attractive markets for Chilean mining suppliers. The country has large-scale mining operations and faces operational challenges similar to Chile in areas such as productivity, asset management, safety, automation, and sustainability. Brazil's mining sector is driven by critical mineral investments, operational expansion, and technological transformation, demonstrating strong dynamism and growing demand for innovative solutions. Geographic proximity, complementarity between the two ecosystems, and Brazilian companies' increasing interest in new technologies make Brazil a strategic choice for launching the internationalization process.
However, the Brazilian market is also highly competitive. Fernanda Franco, Chile's Commercial Representative in Belo Horizonte, noted through ProChile that many suppliers underestimate the need for regulatory and commercial adaptation locally in Brazil. Building trust relationships requires a long-term presence, sustained investment, and deep understanding of key industry players. She stated that the Brazilian market places high value on productivity, operational safety, and cost efficiency, while increasingly emphasizing decarbonization, digitalization, and technological innovation. To compete, Chilean suppliers must demonstrate proven and recognized capabilities, local support, and a clearly differentiated value proposition. She also cited large companies such as Vale as examples of the high demands of the local market. Franco encouraged Chilean suppliers to proactively contact ProChile to jointly design strategies that facilitate successful entry into the Brazilian market.
