en.Wedoany.com Reported - Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has launched a tender to develop cumulative grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a capacity of 154 MWp across ten districts in the Jammu division, aiming to select renewable energy service companies for implementation under a utility-led aggregation model. These projects will be carried out under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, financing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of 2 kWp grid-connected rooftop solar systems for AAY households under JPDCL's jurisdiction. In cases where suitable rooftops are unavailable, combined rooftop solar systems may be installed on nearby public or government buildings, with benefits extended to eligible households through virtual metering where feasible.

These projects will cover approximately 77,000 Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households. The bid processing fee is set at INR 20,000 per district, with the bid submission deadline being August 6, 2026.

Previously, in September 2025, Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited invited rate contract bids for installing 5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government buildings in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
