en.Wedoany.com Reported - Coravel, a joint venture between ACS Group and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), has secured its first hyperscale data center customer. GIP is an infrastructure investment firm acquired by BlackRock in 2024.

This data center integrated digital infrastructure platform, equally owned by both parties, officially launched operations after the partnership was announced in November 2025. Coravel's project pipeline currently includes 1.7 gigawatts (GW) of planned development capacity, corresponding to 1.2 GW of IT load deliverable across projects in Europe, the United States, and Australia.

According to an ACS Group press release, the latest agreement will provide approximately 140 megawatts (MW) of critical IT capacity for three new data center facilities at Coravel's Dallas-Fort Worth campus. The customer also secured an option to expand by an additional 100 MW across two future facilities on the campus. Construction is being carried out by Turner, an ACS Group subsidiary, with the campus planned for phased development and expected to be operational by 2028.

Howard Boville, CEO of Coravel, stated that customers are transforming the way they work through artificial intelligence and cloud computing, and the company's role is to help provide the digital infrastructure supporting this transformation.

Juan Santamaría, CEO of ACS Group, said the launch of Coravel marks a key milestone in the group's strategy to combine its established development, engineering, and construction expertise with GIP's long-term investment capabilities to create a global digital infrastructure platform. He believes this creates a uniquely positioned company that can help customers meet one of the fastest-growing infrastructure demands worldwide.

Driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing, demand for data center capacity continues to rise. Coravel is entering the market at this time with a strategy to offer a more integrated delivery approach by consolidating site development, power planning, construction, investment, and operations under a single platform.

This model aims to help customers address common challenges in data center development, including power availability, land acquisition, supply chain bottlenecks, and coordination among multiple contractors and service providers.
