MAN Truck & Bus invests €1.2 billion to expand its Krakow plant in Poland

en.Wedoany.com Reported - MAN Truck & Bus plans to invest approximately €1.2 billion in expanding its Krakow plant in Poland to increase production capacity and promote electric truck manufacturing. The investment is based on an agreement between MAN and the Polish government and is scheduled to be completed over the next decade. This €1.2 billion expansion of the Krakow plant in Poland will add new body manufacturing and paint shops, as well as expand the cab assembly line, more than doubling the production area.

The Krakow plant will prepare capacity for future truck series based on the TRATON Group's modular concept, ensuring efficient production and integration into the long-term international production strategy. This €1.2 billion expansion of the Krakow plant in Poland aims to enhance the plant's technology and create conditions for new models, while increasing local value creation and strengthening its role in the European production network.

In terms of electrification, the Krakow plant will begin production of the new MAN eTGL electric truck in the summer of 2026, followed by the electric medium-duty truck eTGM, making it MAN's second electric truck production site after Munich. This €1.2 billion expansion project of the Krakow plant in Poland is a key component of MAN's "MAN2030+" future plan, which will continue into the next decade, primarily focusing on plant expansion and upgrades before 2030.
