en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 16, 2026, the large plate beam hoisting of the boiler for Unit 1 of the Tacheng SPIC 2×660,000 kW Coal-Power Integration Project was completed, marking the basic conclusion of the main installation of the boiler steel frame structure. The project is under EPC general contracting by Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. The placement of the large plate beam lays the foundation for subsequent boiler heating surface installation and overall project progress.

To ensure safe and precise hoisting, the project team prepared a special plan in advance and completed expert review. Before the operation, lifting equipment and sling tools were inspected, and a safety technical briefing was conducted for all personnel. During the hoisting process, wind speed was monitored in real time, and management personnel provided full-time supervision, overcoming challenges such as large component self-weight, high placement elevation, and stringent installation accuracy, achieving precise one-time placement.

The project is located at the nationally renowned "Devil's Wind Gap," where strong winds of level 8 or above account for over 40% of the year, earning it the nickname "Monument on the Wind Gap" from builders. Since resuming work, construction personnel have faced extreme conditions such as high temperatures in the Gobi desert and large temperature differences between day and night, seizing the golden construction period. Currently, the boiler heating surface is being assembled on the ground, the main plant's steel structure frame has been constructed to the second floor, the turbine foundation is about to be poured, two cooling tower walls are under construction, 58 out of 140 sections of the chimney wall have been completed, and auxiliary facilities and underground pipelines are progressing simultaneously.

The project team will continue to adhere to the construction principles of "thorough preliminary work, strict commencement, precise design, and optimal production," seizing the schedule while ensuring safety and quality, and fully promoting project implementation.
