Located in Kostanay, northern Kazakhstan, the Turan 1GW wind power project will be equipped with an energy storage system. Once completed, it is expected to generate approximately 3.9 billion kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by 3.9 million tons per year.

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the Kazakhstan-China High-Tech Enterprise Roundtable held in Shanghai on July 16, and Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiyev, witnessed the signing ceremony. In April 2025, Huanyu Energy successfully won the bid for the Turan 1GW wind power project and its supporting energy storage system in the first round of Kazakhstan's renewable energy project bidding.
