en.Wedoany.com Reported - Enfinity Global and E Energy Invest, an investment vehicle under the Strioga Family Foundation, have signed a co-investment agreement to jointly develop a 150 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Strioga Family Foundation will acquire a 49.9% stake in the project, while Enfinity Global retains a 50.1% controlling interest. Enfinity Global will continue to oversee the remaining development and construction phases and will serve as the long-term asset manager upon completion.
The BESS project features a four-hour storage duration, with a total storage capacity of 600 MWh, and is part of Enfinity Global's 6.7 GW battery storage portfolio in Italy.
Carlos Domenech, CEO of Enfinity Global, welcomed the Strioga Family Foundation as a strategic partner, stating that this collaboration demonstrates the company's ability to connect long-term capital with Europe's energy transition needs and deploy critical storage infrastructure through its integrated energy platform.
The company stated that these projects are designed to enhance grid flexibility and facilitate greater integration of renewable energy across Italy. Enfinity Global's integrated solar and storage platform in Italy includes over 1 GW of signed power purchase agreements, energy contracts under the Energy Release 2.0 program, and capacity secured through the FER X auctions.
Enfinity Global has recently attracted other equity partners for its Italian platform, including the Azerbaijan Sovereign Wealth Fund and other undisclosed parties, involving assets totaling over 1.1 GW in the past year.
This transaction marks the Strioga Family Foundation's entry into the Italian energy market. Gediminas Uloza, CEO of the foundation, stated that the company has been actively seeking partnerships with leading European renewable energy platforms and is pleased to collaborate with Italian market expert Enfinity Global to seize this BESS opportunity.
Enfinity Global was advised by Advant NCTM on legal matters for this transaction, while the Strioga Family Foundation was advised by Green Horse and Natural Power. In October 2025, Enfinity Global signed an equity and development agreement with a European investor to complete a 486 MW BESS project in Italy.
