en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 17, 2026, Cadeler officially took delivery of its new wind installation vessel, the "Wind Ace." This vessel is the 11th wind installation vessel in Cadeler's fleet and the second of three newbuild A-class vessels.

Cadeler stated that the A-class vessels can quickly switch roles from foundation installation to turbine installation. The "Wind Ace" was built at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry's shipyard in Qidong, China, over the past two years, delivered on schedule and within budget, achieving over 3.5 million work hours without a lost time incident during construction, maintaining a strong safety record.

As the second vessel in the A-class series, the "Wind Ace" will be deployed at the East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm, responsible for transporting and installing the project's wind turbine foundations and turbines.

The East Anglia TWO project has an installed capacity of 960 megawatts and is located in the North Sea off the southeast coast of England. It is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola. Once operational, the electricity generated will meet the needs of nearly one million households.

According to a contract announced in 2024, Cadeler will be responsible for the transport and installation of all 64 wind turbines and their foundations. Offshore operations are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the "Wind Ace" supporting the project alongside one of Cadeler's O-class vessels.

Cadeler CEO Mikkel Gleerup stated that the delivery of the "Wind Ace" is an important step in the company's long-term strategy, and the third A-class vessel, the "Wind Apex," is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2027.
