en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, Honeywell Aerospace announced on July 20 that IndiGo has selected avionics and power systems solutions for its 810 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, while Aeromexico plans to deploy the company's runway safety technology on over 100 Boeing aircraft.
IndiGo's order covers auxiliary power units, weather radar, traffic collision avoidance systems, flight management systems, and aftermarket support services. Honeywell has been providing onboard equipment for IndiGo since 2015, and the airline currently operates over 400 aircraft.
Aeromexico will deploy Honeywell's Surface Alert (SURF-A) runway safety technology on its Boeing 737 NG and 737 MAX fleets. The system identifies traffic risks using GPS data, ADS-B equipment, and software analysis, providing real-time audible and visual alerts to pilots when there is a collision risk on the runway flight path. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration is expected to initiate SURF-A certification for multiple Boeing aircraft models in the fourth quarter of 2026, with certification work continuing into 2027.
