en.Wedoany.com Reported - Moeve Chemicals announced that its global production network for low-carbon chemicals has been validated, enabling all manufacturing sites to produce and supply products from the company's low-carbon portfolio.

The Spanish Standardization and Certification Association (AENOR) conducted the validation, supported by Moeve Chemicals' internal proprietary system for tracking and allocating renewable energy attributes in operations. According to the company, the recently completed validation milestone involved production sites in Brazil and Shanghai.

The low-carbon portfolio includes NextLab Low Carbon (a low-carbon linear alkylbenzene used in biodegradable detergents) and NextPhenol Low Carbon (a low-carbon phenol and its derivatives applied in resins, adhesives, automotive, and construction sectors). Both products are designed as direct replacements, maintaining the same quality and performance standards as conventional products.

Alfredo López Carretero, Moeve Chemicals' Global Head of Safety, Energy, and Sustainability, stated that the completion of manufacturing network validation enables the company to consistently supply traceable low-carbon products from all production sites.

Moeve Chemicals is the chemicals business unit of Moeve (formerly Cepsa). The Spanish energy and petrochemical company Moeve rebranded at the end of 2024 to highlight its strategic shift toward sustainable energy and chemicals. The company is executing an €8 billion investment strategy, with over 60% allocated to sustainable businesses, including green hydrogen, second-generation biofuels, and sustainable chemicals. This rebranding and strategic transformation were reported by Chemical Processing magazine in November 2024.
