en.Wedoany.com Reported - The energy storage market has recently announced multiple bid and tender updates, involving entities in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, and China Energy Engineering Corporation.

In terms of bid awards, on July 20, the EPC general contracting bid candidates for the Baoji Yongchuan Guixin 200MW/400MWh grid-side energy storage power station project were announced. The first candidate is CCCC Electromechanical (Yunnan) Co., Ltd. (consortium: Central and Southern China Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Zhongshen Construction Group Co., Ltd.), with a bid price of 482.570718 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of 1.2 yuan/Wh; the second candidate is Bainian Construction Group Co., Ltd. (consortium: Zhongtu Design Co., Ltd.), with a bid price of 488.972166 million yuan, equivalent to 1.22 yuan/Wh; the third candidate is Shaanxi Weili Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (consortium: Zhongji Xuanyuan Construction Technology Co., Ltd.), with a bid price of 477.646527 million yuan, equivalent to 1.19 yuan/Wh. The project is configured with a 400MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system and a 10MW/30-second supercapacitor energy storage system, along with a supporting 110kV step-up substation and transmission line.

On July 18, the EPC general contracting bid result for the Kailinhe 500kV substation 200MW/800MWh grid-side independent energy storage power station project was announced. The winning bidder is China Nuclear Industry Huaxing Construction Co., Ltd., with a bid amount of 676.8 million yuan. The tenderee is Mengxi New Energy Development (Damao Banner) Co., Ltd., and the project is located in Bayinwulang Sumu, Bayin Obo Banner, Damao United Banner. The energy storage system uses 100% grid-forming lithium iron phosphate batteries, and a new 220kV step-up substation will be built, connected to the 220kV side of the Kailinhe 500kV substation via one 220kV line, with a line distance of approximately 647 kilometers.

In terms of tenders, on July 17, China Energy Engineering Corporation issued a centralized procurement for lithium iron phosphate batteries for 2026, with an estimated total volume of 1.2GWh, divided into two packages. Package 1 procures 1GWh of 314Ah cells, requiring bidders to have a cumulative contract performance of no less than 1000MWh in the past two years; Package 2 procures 0.2GWh of 100~110Ah cells, requiring bidders to have a cumulative contract performance of no less than 200MWh in the past two years. Both packages require bidders to have independent R&D and production capabilities for battery cells and provide third-party product certification or type test reports. Consortium bids are not accepted for this tender.

On July 18, a tender announcement was released for the commercial and industrial energy storage EPC project of the Binzhou Hongyuntong Heavy Truck Charging Station in Shandong. The tenderee is Binzhou Xinneng Technology Development Co., Ltd. The project plans to build a 3.45MW/13.36MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage system, connected to a virtual power plant, to provide charging services for heavy trucks. The project will be constructed in two phases: Phase I is 1.725MW/6.68MWh, with an investment of approximately 5.8822 million yuan; Phase II is 1.725MW/6.68MWh, with an investment of approximately 5.8822 million yuan. The start time of Phase II will be determined based on the operation of Phase I, with a total investment of approximately 11.7644 million yuan.
