en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 8.0MPa, 1000Nm³/h high-pressure alkaline water electrolysis system independently developed by Aerospace Changzheng Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (Aerospace Engineering) successfully passed joint certification on July 10, 2026, from the China Quality Certification Center (CQC), DEKRA, and the CNAS laboratory of CATARC Automotive Test Center (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. This certification marks that domestically produced high-pressure water electrolysis equipment is ready for large-scale commercialization, providing an aerospace solution for deep integration of green hydrogen and the chemical industry amid the global energy transition.
During the certification period, an operational open day was held, attended by representatives from over ten client companies and relevant industry associations to observe the testing process. Under the dual supervision of CQC, DEKRA, and the CNAS laboratory of CATARC Automotive Test Center (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., the equipment completed a seven-day full-dimensional national standard compliance test and long-cycle continuous operation, with all test items meeting standards on the first attempt. Certification test results showed: under rated conditions at 7.2MPaG, the rated hydrogen production capacity is 1000Nm³/h, with DC power consumption not exceeding 4.3kWh/Nm³; within a dynamic load adjustment range of 35% to 110%, the oxygen-in-hydrogen content does not exceed 1%vol; rapid load ramp-up and ramp-down tests at 8%/s and 72-hour continuous operation were completed.
The pressurized alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production series products independently developed by Aerospace Engineering are the core achievements of the third-generation electrochemical equipment technology, covering four pressure levels: 2.0MPaG, 4.0MPaG, 6.0MPaG, and 8.0MPaG. The high-pressure hydrogen and oxygen produced by these products can directly match the coupling needs of different chemical production scenarios, connecting to downstream chemical process flows without additional mechanical compression. This eliminates the need for hydrogen/oxygen compressors, reduces air separation unit scale, saves project footprint, and streamlines on-site operation and maintenance staffing. From the perspective of engineering construction and full-cycle operation, it offers outstanding life-cycle cost advantages.
During the operational open day, associations and clients including the Hydrogen Energy Branch of the China Industrial Development Promotion Association, Baofeng Energy, China Tianying, CGN New Energy Company, and TBEA visited the test certification site for observation and inspection. Li Yaojian, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Tianying Inc., stated that the trial operation and successful certification of Aerospace Engineering's 1000Nm³/h high-pressure electrolyzer mark a new height in the differentiated development of China's alkaline water electrolysis equipment technology, with significant innovative and practical implications for directly coupling high-pressure hydrogen with downstream green hydrogen-based fuel synthesis. Li Long, General Manager of the Hydrogen Energy Company at Baofeng Energy Group, after witnessing the entire certification process, believed that the success of Aerospace Engineering's high-pressure electrolyzer fills a global gap in high-pressure water electrolysis equipment, building an industrial bridge for direct "electricity-hydrogen-chemical" coupling, with broad application prospects in the chemical industry.
Aerospace Engineering stated that, taking this certification as a new starting point, it will continue to iterate core electrochemical equipment technologies, strengthen its core advantages in engineering transformation, and persistently deliver integrated aerospace green hydrogen engineering and complete equipment solutions, empowering the green and low-carbon transformation of the industrial sector.
