en.Wedoany.com Reported - U.S. chemical company DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (NYSE:DD) announced the launch of an end-to-end Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) product portfolio. The portfolio includes over 20 products covering the complete process from lithium extraction and purification to final concentration. DuPont is a global chemical company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, with businesses spanning healthcare, water treatment, construction, and industrial sectors. This newly launched portfolio is part of its Water & Separation Technologies business segment.

The announced portfolio encompasses multiple technology products, including lithium-selective adsorbents, nanofiltration membranes, reverse osmosis membranes, ultrafiltration membrane modules, and ion exchange resins. Among them, DuPont™ AmberSorb™ adsorbents are suitable for both high-temperature and low-temperature brine environments; FilmTec™ LiNE nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membrane elements, combined with Low Salt Rejection Reverse Osmosis (LSRRO) technology, enable ultra-high lithium concentrations; additionally, DuPont™ IntegraTec™ and Inge™ ultrafiltration membrane modules, along with DuPont™ AmberLite™ ion exchange resins, enhance lithium recovery, purity, and concentration throughout the entire process.

DuPont stated that the portfolio adopts an integrated process design, allowing customers to deploy a complete end-to-end solution or select individual technologies based on specific brine compositions and process requirements. Dr. Martin Deetz, Senior R&D Expert at DuPont Water Solutions, noted that the direct lithium extraction process is highly sensitive to brine composition, temperature, and competing ions. Integrating adsorbents, membranes, and ion exchange technologies into a single process design framework enables optimization of the entire workflow. He pointed out that customers are seeking to move from laboratory scale to commercial production as quickly as possible, and by combining technology with advanced modeling, testing, and pilot support, it is possible to accelerate the design of end-to-end lithium extraction processes tailored to specific brine resources.

Through its global R&D network, DuPont provides advanced laboratory testing, process modeling, and pilot validation services to help lithium producers verify performance using actual brine samples and accelerate process development. The company held an educational webinar on June 18, 2026, to introduce how to customize direct lithium extraction technologies based on specific brine resource characteristics to improve lithium recovery and purity.

With surging demand for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, direct lithium extraction technology is emerging as a new alternative to traditional hard rock mining and evaporation pond methods. DuPont's newly launched end-to-end product portfolio provides a comprehensive technology platform for entering the rapidly growing direct lithium extraction market. The flexibility of the portfolio allows for customized solutions tailored to different brine compositions, potentially helping lithium producers improve recovery rates, enhance purity, reduce operational complexity, and accelerate the commercialization of new projects.
