These components are large, flexible, and irregularly shaped, requiring the robots to coordinate both arms and continuously adjust movements. Xiaomi stated that this marks the first time its robots have operated flexible automotive parts on a real production line for an extended period, with the task success rate exceeding 90%.

Additionally, the robots began folding and preparing storage boxes for recycling, which involves opening buckles, folding boxes, and stacking them, requiring precise coordination of both arms. The system can correct its trajectory and continue working when encountering stuck or slightly misaligned parts, rather than simply stopping. Currently, these robots are still in the testing phase, with some tasks requiring materials to be pre-placed in specific positions. By adopting more dexterous manipulators, artificial intelligence, and a system that senses finger positions and adjusts applied force, Xiaomi has gradually brought the robots' movements closer to those of human workers.
