en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 200MW/400MWh grid-side new shared energy storage project in Wuxiang County, contracted by China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau General Contracting Company, recently completed the equipment foundation construction in the energy storage area. The project has now fully transitioned to the equipment installation phase in the energy storage area and the construction phase of the booster station, laying the foundation for subsequent delivery and completion.

Located in Hongshui Town, Wuxiang County, the project covers a total area of approximately 35 mu. It is a key new energy infrastructure project in Wuxiang County and a core supporting project for the regional new-type power system. The construction scope includes building a new shared energy storage station with a total capacity of 200MW/400MWh. Once operational, the project will perform functions such as peak shaving and valley filling, frequency and voltage regulation, backup support, and new energy consumption, smoothing output fluctuations from new energy sources like wind and solar power, alleviating peak-valley pressure on the regional power grid, and ensuring stable power supply.

The construction of the energy storage area faced challenges including limited site space, multi-disciplinary cross-operations, and high precision standards for equipment foundations. The project team prioritized coordinated scheduling and precision construction, developed a detailed master construction control plan, dynamically coordinated labor teams, building materials, and large machinery allocation, and established a closed-loop management mechanism with daily on-site coordination and weekly progress correction, streamlining the connection processes for civil works, embedding, and embedded part installation.

Throughout the entire process of energy storage equipment foundation construction, the project strictly implemented standardized management with model guidance. Core processes such as embedded part welding, cushion pouring, rebar tying, formwork reinforcement, and mass concrete pouring followed control standards of first-item acceptance and batch rollout, rigorously controlling key indicators like foundation flatness, embedded positioning accuracy, and concrete curing, while simultaneously implementing special measures for rainy season flood control and foundation pit protection, ensuring triple guarantees for construction progress, project quality, and safety management.

In the next step, the project department will take the completion of equipment foundations as a starting point, continue to deepen standardized and refined on-site management, advance waterproofing, anti-seepage, and foundation pit backfilling processes, coordinate the orderly arrival and installation of equipment such as energy storage cabins and power transformation and distribution units, strictly adhere to project quality and safety production standards, and build a benchmark demonstration project for grid-side shared energy storage in the region, providing support for the development of Wuxiang's new energy storage industry and the construction of the regional new-type power system.
