en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 18, the first ignition of the gas turbine for Unit 2 of the SDIC Zhoushan Gas Power Generation Project, constructed by China Energy Engineering Corporation's Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. The project utilizes the 9HA.02 gas turbine, which boasts the largest single-unit capacity and highest efficiency in Asia.
Located in Dinghai District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, the project is a key clean thermal power initiative under Zhejiang's "14th Five-Year Plan." It is equipped with a 9HA.02 heavy-duty gas turbine combined cycle unit, offering advantages such as high power generation efficiency, low carbon emissions, and rapid peak-shaving response. The 9HA.02 model features a sophisticated control system and complex combustion control logic, with highly integrated systems for fuel, sealing, cooling, and fire protection. The pre-ignition conditions are stringent, requiring industry-leading precision in flame monitoring, temperature matching, and anti-surge control.

Prior to the gas turbine ignition, Typhoon "Bavi" passed through the area. The Zhoushan project team activated the typhoon emergency response plan, implementing grid-based duty assignments and dynamic scheduling. They successfully withstood the impact of the super typhoon, with no casualties, property losses, or safety incidents throughout the process, laying a solid foundation for the smooth ignition of the gas turbine.

After the typhoon, the project team conducted safety briefings for resuming work, organized the construction schedule, and carried out comprehensive closed-loop inspections of key components such as the combustion chamber, fuel nozzles, sealing pipelines, and high-temperature instrument measurement points. This ensured that the unit's air tightness and hydrogen leakage indicators exceeded design excellence standards.
Once the ignition procedure was initiated, the flame detector simultaneously captured a stable flame signal. Throughout the process, there was no thermal hang-up, surge, or overheating. The unit accelerated smoothly, with all core operating parameters meeting requirements, and successfully stabilized at the rated speed, achieving a one-time successful ignition of the gas turbine.

Shanxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. stated that it will leverage full-cycle lean management of the project as a key driver, continuously strengthening its core technical capabilities in high-end gas turbine construction and comprehensive contract performance management, to deliver a high-quality, premium project.
