(NYSE: JBL) has opened a new factory in Pune, Maharashtra, India, expanding its manufacturing footprint in the country. Located in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) industrial area, the facility has increased Jabil's total factory space in India from 500,000 square feet to 1.2 million square feet over the past year, while its workforce has grown from approximately 5,000 to nearly 11,000 employees.

Jabil Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Priestley stated that this expansion reflects the company's long-term commitment to the Indian market. The new factory will bring together more skilled manufacturing talent and engineering capabilities to produce the highest quality products at high speed and scale. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis noted that Jabil's expansion in Pune is a positive example for the state's manufacturing sector, helping to promote investment and create jobs. Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said the government will continue to improve the industrial ecosystem, enabling companies like Jabil to innovate, expand, and thrive in India.

Currently, Jabil provides manufacturing services in India for sectors including telecommunications, AI cloud data centers, automotive, and digital commerce. In 2025, Jabil received India's Great Place to Work certification, was selected as one of the top 100 mid-sized companies to work for in India, and was named the Best Workplace in the Indian Electronics Industry for 2025.
