en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 23, the QG1 section of the major "three utilities" and pipeline relocation works for the Suining-Chongqing Expressway (Sichuan Section) expansion project, undertaken by the Electrical Engineering Company of China Railway Tenth Group, completed the gas shutdown and tie-in operation for the Baimo natural gas pipeline of PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gasfield Company. The completion of this key milestone marks the successful breakthrough of major safety hazards and core construction bottlenecks that had been hindering the overall progress of the project, clearing a critical obstacle for the orderly construction of the entire expansion project.

It is reported that the Suining-Chongqing Expressway (Sichuan Section) expansion project is a key transportation interconnection project in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The route starts at Guihua Town, Chuanshan District, Suining City, connecting with the G42 Chengdu-Nanchong Expressway and the Maosui Expressway. It follows the existing road for widening and renovation, ending at the Sichuan-Chongqing provincial boundary in Moxi Town, Anju District, with a total length of 46.4 kilometers. The Electrical Engineering Company of China Railway Tenth Group is responsible for the relocation of 110 kV high-voltage power lines, major communication facilities, and oil and gas pipelines along the entire route.

This relocation operation is concentrated in the K14+120 to K23+090 section. The Baimo natural gas pipeline crosses the main expressway multiple times within this section and is entirely located within the land acquisition red line, failing to meet the relevant safety standards for natural gas pipelines crossing expressways, posing significant safety risks. Additionally, some pipeline segments are not only within the expressway land red line but also within the 20-meter control line on both sides of the expanded expressway, with insufficient distance from the cut-and-fill slopes. This would create mutual constraints in the operation and maintenance management of the pipeline and the expressway in the future, hindering their respective management.

In response to these conditions, the project department of the Electrical Engineering Company of China Railway Tenth Group proactively coordinated with all participating units and property rights units, conducting systematic planning and unified deployment around construction organization, resource allocation, process coordination, and safety control. The project team continuously optimized the allocation of personnel and machinery, adopted a segmented synchronous operation mode on site, and orderly advanced processes such as access road construction, trench excavation, and pipeline welding, ensuring tight coordination between each step. Furthermore, the team repeatedly negotiated with property rights units for gas shutdown windows, reasonably compressed work intervals, and maximized effective construction time. Given the limited access conditions, they planned transportation routes and entry schedules in advance, effectively ensuring the timely arrival of pipes and equipment.

According to reporters, once the Suining-Chongqing Expressway (Sichuan Section) is completed and opened to traffic, it will further optimize the highway network layout of Suining City, fully leverage the overall benefits of the road network, significantly improve regional transportation conditions, and play an important role in promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and regional economic and social development.
