Jiang Wei, General Manager of Yunnan Alsep Customs Brokerage Co., Ltd., which conducts business around the China-Laos Railway, introduced that relying on the stable transport capacity of the railway, the company's agency business for importing fresh fruits has continued to grow, while also expanding new businesses such as exporting new energy vehicles. In the first half of this year, the company's agency cargo volume increased by 32% year-on-year.

ASEAN specialty products are accelerating their entry into the Chinese market via the China-Laos Railway. In the first half of the year, the import value of tropical fruits such as fresh durians, mangosteens, and longans via the China-Laos Railway reached 4.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.8%. Stable and efficient railway transport and cold chain guarantees have shortened the transportation time for Southeast Asian fresh fruits entering the Chinese market.
