en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 28, it was learned from Zhongke Yuhang that the Lihong-2 reusable launch vehicle developed by the company has completed the design phase and fully entered the engineering development phase. Large-scale ground test verification is currently underway, with plans to complete the maiden flight and 100-kilometer recovery verification this year, and to carry multiple experimental payloads for in-orbit space experiments.

It is understood that the maiden flight mission will carry a space pharmaceutical payload, a fully automated space protein crystallization device, focusing on drug development for major diseases such as lung cancer and cardiovascular conditions, to assess the device's fully automated operation and the adaptability of the crystallization experiment process to the space environment in orbit.

At the same time, this flight will carry an unattended robot to verify the robot's operational status and work stability in typical space environments such as microgravity and high vacuum. Additionally, it will carry wearable monitoring devices for space tourism, using digital sign output devices to simulate human data, which will be collected and analyzed by the wearable monitoring devices to issue anomaly warnings, providing preliminary technical verification and data support for the safety and health monitoring of future space tourism passengers.

The Lihong-2 maiden flight mission will verify whether the booster rocket of the Lihong-2 can achieve return guidance and landing recovery as per the predetermined procedure after completing the ascent flight.
