China Road and Bridge Corporation Wins Bid for Maputo Port Access Channel Dredging Project in Mozambique

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the Mozambique Office of China Road and Bridge Corporation received the Letter of Acceptance for the Maputo Port Access Channel Dredging Project in Mozambique, issued by Maputo Port Development Company.

Maputo Port is the largest seaport in Mozambique and one of the core logistics hubs of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The main scope of the project involves deepening, widening, and realigning the approximately 74-kilometer-long access channel of Maputo Port, with a dredging volume of about 21 million cubic meters. Upon completion, the target water depth of the channel will reach -14.5 meters CD to -15.3 meters CD, meeting the navigation requirements of 14,000 TEU ultra-large container ships and 180,000 DWT Capesize bulk carriers.

This project is a mega-dredging project won by the Mozambique Office in the Mozambican market, following six consecutive years of successful implementation of the Beira Port maintenance dredging project. It further expands China Road and Bridge Corporation's market share in the full-water domain and consolidates the company's absolute leading position in the dredging sector in Mozambique.
