en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 10, the Port Authority of Motril (Autoridad Portuaria de Motril) completed the design for the pedestrian walkway renovation project at the entrance to the port logistics activities zone (ZAL). The works cover approximately 250 meters of the connection area between the N-347 GR road and the new ZAL access road, with a planned investment of approximately EUR 127,000. The next step for the project is to prepare the tender documents, after which it will proceed successively to works tendering, award, and construction.

This project is located in the connection area between the N-347 GR road leading to the beach and the new ZAL vehicle access road, with the construction work focused on adjusting and connecting the existing pedestrian route. A new road roundabout had already been completed in this area, and the Pantoja Group service station has also been put into operation. The Port Authority will now reorganize the pedestrian traffic facilities along this section in accordance with the existing road layout.

The ZAL vehicle access road connected to the pedestrian walkway project has already entered the late stage of construction. At present, the road still requires asphalt paving works, and it can only be put into use after the relevant operations are completed. The pedestrian walkway project will be advanced in the implementation sequence of "project design—preparation of tender documents—works tendering—award—construction."

The Port of Motril's 2027–2030 investment plan also provides for EUR 95.22 million in public and private investment, covering port infrastructure, logistics, and related facilities. This EUR 127,000 pedestrian walkway renovation is a specific construction project within the infrastructure surrounding the ZAL access routes.
