en.Wedoany.com Reported - Windward Offshore has taken delivery of its third Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), the Windward Munich, which has also secured its first charter with the charter period about to commence; the company did not disclose further details of the charter. The offshore wind vessel operator stated on social media that the Windward Munich is a hybrid-powered CSOV designed for offshore operations support, equipped with an electrically driven integrated motion-compensated gangway and crane, a helideck, and accommodation for up to 120 personnel, emphasizing both living comfort and energy-efficient operation.

The vessel was delivered by Vard's shipyard in Vung Tau, Vietnam. Earlier this year, Windward Offshore took delivery of the second vessel in the same series, the Windward Paris, with the Windward Munich following closely behind in completion and delivery.

The first of the four CSOVs in the series, the Windward Athens, was delivered in October 2025. In addition, the fourth vessel, the Windward Hamburg, is still under construction. Windward Offshore stated that once all four vessels are completed, they will form the backbone fleet for the company's comprehensive services to the offshore wind industry.
