en.Wedoany.com Reported - This morning (August 3), Sinopec Chongqing Chuanwei Chemical's 50,000-ton specialty polyvinyl alcohol unit was officially put into operation. After the project comes on stream, it will become the world's largest single-plant high-end polyvinyl alcohol production base, with a total annual capacity of 210,000 tons.

According to reports, polyvinyl alcohol is known as the "universal auxiliary material" in fine chemicals, serving as an indispensable core basic raw material for emerging industries such as new energy, optoelectronics, high-end packaging, and precision manufacturing. The project's implementation will effectively enhance the raw material supply capacity of the industrial chain.
