By brand, Eicher-brand trucks and buses sold 8,045 units in the month, up 15.9% year-on-year from 6,940 units in July 2025; Volvo-brand trucks and buses sold 196 units, up 12% from 175 units in the same period last year.

The domestic market was the primary driver of growth in the month. Domestic sales of Eicher-brand trucks and buses reached 7,575 units, up 18.2% from 6,410 units in July 2025. Exports, however, showed a declining trend, with 470 units exported in July 2026 compared to 530 units in July 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.

Established in 2008, VECV is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. The company manufactures and sells Eicher-brand trucks and buses, distributes Volvo trucks in the Indian market, produces Volvo Group engines for both domestic and export markets, and also operates non-automotive engine and automotive components businesses.

The July sales performance indicates sustained growth in domestic commercial vehicle demand, improved demand for Eicher-brand products, while exports continued their year-on-year declining trend.
