Hellenic Cables' 525kV HVDC Cable System Receives Certification

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hellenic Cables, the cable segment of Belgium-based Cenergy Holdings, has announced that its 525 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cable system has been certified for both submarine and underground applications. The system utilizes XLPE insulation technology and is capable of continuous operation at temperatures of 80°C.

According to the certification results, the submarine cable system was validated in accordance with CIGRE Technical Brochure 852, while the underground cable system meets the requirements of both CIGRE Technical Brochure 852 and IEC 62895, confirming the reliability and performance of the cable system under international testing conditions.
