en.Wedoany.com Reported - German bridge inspection unit manufacturer Moog has delivered its 700th bridge inspection unit to long-time customer Wemo-Tec.

The 700th unit is an MBI 110 bridge inspection unit, and Wemo-Tec simultaneously purchased an MBL 1750 unit.

The MBI 110 can lower to a maximum of 7.1 meters below the bridge deck, with a maximum horizontal reach of 11 meters. The platform is 1.2 meters wide, has a maximum load capacity of 500 kilograms, occupies a 2.5-meter bridge lane, and has a total equipment weight of 14,500 kilograms.

The larger MBL 1750 can lower to 18.9 meters below the bridge deck, with a maximum horizontal reach of 17.5 meters. It occupies the same lane space as the MBI 110 and has a total weight of 26 tons.

Moog was founded by Alfons Moog in 1980. In August 2006, he died in an accident involving one of his own platforms in France. His wife Rita subsequently took over management of the company, which was later handed over to Christine Moog-Ganzenmüller, one of the couple's three daughters.

Moog reached the milestone of delivering its 400th unit in 2008. The first 400 units took 38 years to manufacture and sell, while the subsequent 300 units were completed in just 18 years.

Wemo-Tec purchased its first Moog platform over 40 years ago and has maintained its purchasing relationship ever since. The company is located in Eichenzell, northeast of Frankfurt, near Fulda.
