en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 5, India's Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited signed a photovoltaic engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to build a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant in India with a peak capacity of 210 MW and an AC-side capacity of 150 MW. The project was awarded by Solaris Horizon Energy Private Limited and is scheduled for completion in the fiscal year 2027–2028. The contract value and specific construction location were not disclosed.

The contract follows a turnkey model, with Waaree Renewable Technologies responsible for project engineering design, equipment procurement, and construction, as well as providing two years of operation and maintenance services after the plant is completed. This order falls under a domestic commercial contract in India, with a project capacity of 210 MW peak and 150 MW AC-side capacity.

The project owner, Solaris Horizon Energy, is an indirect subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, and Waaree Renewable Technologies is also part of the Waaree Group, making this contract a related-party transaction. The company confirmed that the transaction was executed in accordance with arm's length commercial principles.

As of the end of June 2026, Waaree Renewable Technologies' consolidated unexecuted order backlog exceeded INR 53 billion. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2026–2027, the company reported revenue of INR 9.2425 billion, a year-on-year increase of 53.22%. During the period, it also secured a 1,520 MWh energy storage engineering order and a 450 MW peak ground-mounted solar engineering order.
