en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK crane rental company Dewsbury & Proud has recently taken delivery of a 250-tonne Grove GMK5250XL-1 all-terrain crane to expand its rental fleet.

The five-axle GMK5250XL-1 features a 78.5-meter eight-section main boom and a 17.8-meter double-folding swing-away jib, which can be extended to 33.8 meters with additional inserts, achieving a maximum tip height of 109 meters. With 80 tonnes of counterweight and the main boom fully extended, the crane can lift 9.9 tonnes at a working radius of 22 meters.
The company stated that the addition of the new GMK5250XL-1 reflects its ongoing investment in maintaining a modern and reliable fleet, aimed at upholding high service standards for its customers.
Founded in 1977 by Anthony Proud and Jeremy Dewsbury, Dewsbury & Proud is headquartered in Wolverhampton, with depots in Loughborough, Coventry, and Stoke-On-Trent. The company now operates more than 50 cranes, supported by 80 employees. Last year, it acquired Ellis Crane Hire, a deal that positions it to become the UK's seventh-largest crane rental company.
