en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 11, TechnipFMC disclosed that it has been awarded a flexible pipe contract by Azule Energy for the West Hub Tails project, covering the design and manufacture of flexible subsea flowlines, flexible risers, and associated equipment for Block 15/06 offshore Angola. Under TechnipFMC's contract classification, this project falls into the "major contract" category ranging from $75 million to $250 million, and will be recorded in the company's order intake in the third quarter of 2026.

The West Hub Tails is an extension of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development Project. The pipe system supplied by TechnipFMC will receive oil and gas production from the West Hub area and route it to the Agogo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The scope of this contract focuses on the design and manufacture of flexible flowlines, risers, and associated equipment.

The Agogo Integrated West Hub Project is located in Block 15/06 in deepwater Angola, developing the Agogo and Ndungu oil fields. The project is operated by Azule Energy, which holds a 36.84% interest, with Sonangol E&P holding 36.84% and Sinopec International holding 26.32%. The combined estimated reserves of the two fields total approximately 450 million barrels, with a planned peak production of approximately 175,000 barrels per day via the Agogo and Ngoma FPSOs.

The Agogo FPSO achieved first oil on July 29, 2025, 29 months after the project's final investment decision. In February 2026, the first three production wells of the Ndungu full-field development came onstream. The project comprises seven production wells and four injection wells, with a designed peak production of approximately 60,000 barrels per day; initial production is tied into the Ngoma FPSO and will subsequently be phased into the Agogo FPSO.

TechnipFMC has previously participated in two phases of flexible pipe work for the Agogo development. In 2023, the company was awarded flexible pipe contracts for both the Agogo Integrated West Hub Project and the Ndungu project, the latter also connecting to the West Hub system in Block 15/06. The West Hub Tails contract will extend the existing subsea production network, configuring new flexible flowlines and risers to route subsequent West Hub production into the Agogo FPSO.
